Occupational Health & Safety, Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Responsibilities
Conduct regular HSE inspections and identify unsafe conditions and practices Ensure compliance with company HSE policies client requirements and applicable Saudi regulations Monitor Permit to Work PTW activities including hot work work at height confined space and electrical work Identify hazards and ensure appropriate risk assessments and control measures are implemented Conduct toolbox talks safety briefings and HSE awareness sessions Monitor proper use of PPE and enforce safety requirements Inspect scaffolding ladders lifting equipment fire-fighting equipment electrical installations and other safety-critical equipment Report unsafe acts incidents near misses and HSE violations and follow up on corrective actions Assist with incident accident investigations and preparation of HSE reports Maintain HSE inspection records checklists and documentation Support emergency preparedness fire drills and evacuation procedures Monitor housekeeping waste management chemical handling and environmental requirements Coordinate with site teams to ensure timely closure of HSE observations and non-conformities Participate in internal and client HSE audits and inspections
Requirements- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in HSE, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of relevant HSE experience, preferably in construction environments.
- Good knowledge of risk assessment, PTW systems, incident investigation, and emergency procedures.
- Strong knowledge of PPE, working at height, confined space, hot work, electrical safety, and lifting operations.
- Strong observation, communication, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work effectively with technicians, supervisors, subcontractors, and clients.
- Ability to prepare clear HSE reports and maintain proper documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HSE reporting systems.
- Ability to work independently and take appropriate action when unsafe conditions are identified.
