About the Role
Our team is seeking aSenior Quantity Surveyorwith strong construction industry experience to take ownership of project commercial and cost management activities.
The role will involve managing project budgets, evaluating costs, supporting contract administration, and working with internal and external stakeholders to minimize financial risk and maximize cost efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead quantity surveying andcommercial management activitiesthroughout the project lifecycle
Develop project estimates, budgets, cost plans, and forecasts
Review project drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contractual requirements
Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids and support commercial negotiations
Monitor actual project costs against budgets and identify potential overruns
Prepare detailedcost reports, forecasts, and commercial dashboards
Manage variations, claims, valuations, and other commercial submissions
Assess the financial impact of design or scope changes and recommend cost-effective alternatives
Conduct regular site visits to verify work progress, quantities, and project costs
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers
Maintain comprehensive documentation for contracts, costs, variations, and claims
Identify commercial risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies
Provide commercial input into project planning and decision-making
Monitor construction market conditions and changes in material and labor costs
Bachelor's degree inQuantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
10+ years of quantity surveying experiencein the construction sector
Experience managing commercial aspects oflarge-scale construction projects
Saudi/GCC construction experience is highly preferred
Strong knowledge ofconstruction contracts, cost management, estimation, and project controls
Hands-on experience withvariations, claims, valuations, and subcontractor negotiations
Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
Confident communicator with strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Proficiency inMicrosoft Office and relevant quantity surveying/commercial tools
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under project deadlines
Experience with precast/pre-stressed concrete projectswill be considered an advantage
