Key Responsibilities:- Develop, monitor, and maintain the project cost control system in accordance with the approved project budget.
- Monitor project expenditures, commitments, and cost performance against approved budgets and forecasts.
- Prepare and update project cost reports, cash flow forecasts, cost curves, and financial dashboards for management review.
- Coordinate with Planning Engineers to integrate project progress with cost performance and earned value analysis.
- Review and verify subcontractor payment applications, procurement commitments, and cost allocations.
- Prepare budget revisions, cost forecasts, and estimate-at-completion (EAC) reports throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify potential cost overruns, financial risks, and budget deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
- Support the evaluation of variation orders, claims, and change orders from a cost impact perspective.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Contracts, Finance, and Construction teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting.
- Monitor project contingency utilization and ensure proper cost coding and cost allocation.
- Assist in preparing monthly management reports, project financial summaries, and executive cost presentations.
- Maintain accurate cost records and ensure compliance with company procedures and project contractual requirements.
Required:
Strong knowledge of cost management principles and project controls.
EducationQualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline. Professional certification such as PMP, CCP (Certified Cost Professional), or equivalent is an advantage.
