Assist the dentist during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures.

Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments and materials are ready before each procedure.

Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.

Prepare dental materials and assist with taking dental impressions when required.

Assist in taking and processing dental X-rays in accordance with safety regulations.

Welcome and prepare patients for dental treatment.

Explain treatment procedures and provide pre- and post-operative instructions.

Monitor patient comfort during procedures and provide reassurance when needed.

Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.

Inventory & Equipment Management

Monitor and maintain dental supplies and materials.

Ensure dental equipment is clean, functional, and properly maintained.

Report equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to the clinic manager.

Infection Control & Safety

Follow infection prevention and control policies at all times.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sterilization standards.

Dispose of medical waste according to regulatory guidelines.

Administrative Support

Assist with updating patient records in the clinic management system.

Coordinate with reception staff regarding patient flow and treatment schedules when needed.

Qualifications & Skills

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Dental Assisting or a related healthcare field.

Valid professional license/classification (where required by local regulations).

Minimum 1 year of experience in a dental clinic (preferred).

Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, and infection control standards.

Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in computer use and dental clinic management software.

Professional appearance, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
