The Architectural QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all architectural works and finishes are executed in compliance with project specifications, design drawings, quality standards, and client requirements. The role involves conducting inspections, preparing quality documentation, coordinating with site teams, and supporting continuous quality improvement across all architectural elements of the project.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct inspections for architectural and finishing works as per approved ITPs and project standards.
- Ensure that all materials and workmanship meet approved specifications and drawings.
- Review and verify material submittals, method statements, and shop drawings related to architectural works.
- Coordinate with construction teams to ensure proper implementation of quality procedures on-site.
- Monitor and record site activities, highlighting any non-conformance or deviations.
- Issue and follow up on NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and ensure timely closure with corrective actions.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits and assist in preparing relevant documentation.
- Liaise with the consultant/client representatives for inspections and approvals.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of all QA/QC records related to architectural works.
- Support project handover activities including snagging, de-snagging, and final quality verification.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in QA/QC for architectural works within building or construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of architectural materials, finishes, and installation procedures.
- Familiarity with quality control systems, standards, and inspection procedures.
- Proficient in MS Office and basic AutoCAD for reviewing drawings.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance.
- Knowledge of ISO and QA/QC systems is an advantage.
- Site-based role with regular coordination between QA/QC, construction, and design teams.
- Requires inspections both indoors and outdoors on active construction sites.
- Fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent finishing and architectural activities.
