Job Summary
The Senior Architecture Engineer (Technical) is responsible for leading the architectural design and technical supervision of projects from concept to completion. This includes developing detailed architectural drawings, coordinating with other engineering disciplines, reviewing design documents, ensuring compliance with local building codes and standards, and providing technical guidance to junior architects and site teams.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design development process for architectural projects, ensuring alignment with project requirements, budgets, and timelines.
- Prepare, review, and approve architectural drawings, specifications, and material submittals.
- Coordinate with structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers to ensure full integration of architectural design with all disciplines.
- Supervise and review the work of junior architects and draftsmen to ensure design accuracy and quality.
- Review and evaluate shop drawings and as-built drawings submitted by contractors.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and company standards.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure architectural design intent is maintained.
- Participate in design and coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Provide technical input and recommendations for design improvements and value engineering.
- Assist in project planning, cost estimation, and material selection.
- Stay updated with the latest trends, materials, and technologies in architecture and construction.
- Bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering.
- Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in architectural design and construction supervision, preferably within large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch Up, Lumion, and other design software.
- Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and construction methods.
- Excellent technical drawing and detailing skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving mindset.
