Job Title : BIM Engineer – Architectural - Project
The BIM Engineer (Architectural) supports the delivery of architectural works by assisting in BIM model development, coordination, and implementation of digital workflows across the project.
Working under the guidance of the BIM Manager and reporting to the Senior BIM Manager, the role contributes to model production, coordination, and technical documentation to ensure architectural elements are accurately represented and coordinated in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements. The role is primarily focused on and requires active involvement in architectural modeling, detailing, and preparation of coordinated outputs using BIM tools, ensuring timely and practical solutions without over-reliance on external modeling resources.
KeyAccountabilities & Key Activities
- Develop, update, and maintain BIM models for architectural elements including layouts, finishes, façades, ceilings, and detailed components.
- Model building elements in alignment with design intent and construction requirements.
- Produce detailed layouts, sections, elevations, and construction details from BIM models.
- Ensure models are aligned with approved drawings, specifications, and architectural design information.
- Maintain model accuracy, consistency, and data integrity.
- Prepare and update models, drawings, and digital outputs using Revit Architecture and related tools.
- Generate model-based drawings, mark‑ups, and redline updates to support coordination and construction.
- Provide hands‑on modeling and drafting support to resolve architectural coordination and detailing issues.
- Coordinate architectural models with structural and MEP systems.
- Identify clashes related to finishes, interfaces, clearances, and spatial coordination.
- Support resolution of coordination conflicts with multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in coordination meetings and model review sessions.
- Track coordination issues and support timely resolution.
- Support preparation of architectural shop drawings and detailed outputs derived from BIM models.
- Ensure alignment between BIM models and issued architectural drawings.
- Assist in updating models based on site conditions, RFIs, and design changes.
- Support development of as‑built architectural models and documentation.
- Maintain coordination logs and model records.
- Support preparation of BIM inputs for RFIs and Technical Queries (TQs).
- Assist in resolving model vs site discrepancies related to architectural works and finishes.
- Coordinate with site teams to ensure BIM reflects actual construction conditions.
- Support model updates based on construction feedback.
- Develop knowledge of BIM standards, architectural workflows, and coordination processes.
- Support implementation of BIM best practices and project standards.
- Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote effective use of BIM tools across project teams.
- Design & Build projects involving architectural and building envelope works
- Multidisciplinary coordination across architectural, structural, and MEP systems
- Projects requiring detailed architectural modeling and construction detailing
- Minimum 3–6 years of relevant experience in BIM modeling or coordination (architectural focus)
- Experience working with Revit Architecture and BIM tools in construction or design environments
- Familiarity with architectural detailing, finishes, and coordination workflows
- Basic understanding of BIM standards and processes (e.g., ISO 19650)
- Experience supporting construction coordination using BIM
- Good command of English (written and spoken)
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field
- BIM‑related certifications are an advantage
- Proficient in Revit Architecture, Navisworks, and BIM coordination tools
- Ability to develop and modify architectural BIM models and drawings
- Strong understanding of architectural detailing, finishes, and interfaces
- Familiarity with clash detection and coordination workflows
- Familiarity with Common Data Environment (CDE) processes
- Strong attention to detail and model accuracy
- Good organizational and documentation skills.
