Senior Landscape Architect

Job Description Overview

Atkins Middle East is seeking a Principal Landscape Architect to work on multi‑disciplinary projects in KSA. The role involves leading design work within a multidisciplinary team and developing international experience.

• Degree qualified with professional affiliation.
• Minimum 15 years experience in Landscape Architecture and site implementation.
• Proven design skills and portfolio.
• Solid understanding of bid/proposal preparation.
• Familiar with design, tender and construction processes.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sketch Up, Adobe CS5 (Photoshop / InDesign / Illustrator).
• Knowledge of sustainable design.

• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Ability to lead a design team (3–4 staff) and act on own initiative.
• Proactive decision making and problem solving.

• Establish project scope and objectives.
• Organise and present designs to the client.
• Maintain programme for design review and ensure its implementation.
• Manage financial aspects of the design.
• Identify and manage project‑specific risks.
• Set and agree on design standards and parameters.
• Monitor quality of the work.
• Prepare and manage design changes.
• Appoint and manage required sub‑consultants or other services.
• Coordinate technical aspects with discipline heads.
