Senior Design Manager

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Design Manager to join the delivery team for a landmark new building within one of Riyadh's most prestigious master planned developments.

This high-profile project represents a significant addition to the Kingdom's rapidly evolving built environment and forms part of a major mixed-use destination that will set new benchmarks for quality, innovation, and user experience.

The project design has progressed to Issued for Construction (IFC) stage, and the successful candidate will take a leading role in managing and coordinating the delivery of the main fit-out works, ensuring the design intent is successfully translated into a world-class built asset.

Working closely with the client, consultants, contractors, and specialist suppliers, you will oversee all design-related activities throughout the fit-out delivery phase, driving design quality, technical compliance, coordination, and programme performance.

• Lead the fit-out design management process from IFC through construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Manage design coordination between consultants, contractors, specialist subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Review and manage shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, technical submissions, and design changes.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, statutory regulations, codes, and quality standards.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces including architectural, interior design, MEP, AV, ICT, security, and specialist systems.
• Drive resolution of technical issues and design clashes to support construction progress.
• Monitor design deliverables against programme milestones and project objectives.
• Support value engineering initiatives while maintaining design integrity and project quality.
• Participate in client and stakeholder meetings, presenting design solutions and recommendations.
• Contribute to risk management and mitigation strategies related to design and technical delivery.

• Degree qualified in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 12 years' experience in design management, with significant exposure to large-scale building projects.
• Proven experience managing complex fit-out and interiors packages for high-end commercial, hospitality, mixed-use, cultural, or public sector developments.
• Strong understanding of construction delivery processes and design coordination during the execution phase.
• Experience working with international consultants and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced, high-profile project environment.
