The ProjectThis is an opportunity to work on one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia. This unique project consists of major mixed‑use development including sports facilities, entertainment, and arts along with all associated infrastructure.
Mace is one of the delivery partners requiring high‑calibre and experienced professionals to lead integrated teams throughout each phase of the project.
You’ll Be Responsible For- Act as the lead design management representative within the Delivery Partner team.
- Lead and manage the Lead Design Consultant (LDC) through schematic design and lead the Design and Construct Contractor during detailed design stages, IFC, and shop drawings.
- Manage and oversee the performance of the Lead Design Consultant (LDC).
- Ensure delivery of coordinated, complete, and buildable design aligned with project objectives and programme.
- Drive design integration across all disciplines to support efficient construction delivery.
- Ensure design outputs are aligned with construction sequencing, logistics, and site constraints.
- Lead design change management process and ensure compliance with the agreed change management plan and procedure.
- Support the transition from design into construction, ensuring clarity, completeness, and buildability of information.
- Identify design risks, constraints, and coordination issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Operate in a coordination and assurance capacity, supporting delivery without relieving the Contractor of their obligations.
- Establish clear design deliverables, responsibilities, and review processes.
- Monitor quality and completeness of design outputs across all disciplines.
- Lead design coordination workshops and technical review sessions.
- Ensure all design elements and parameters are complied with and implemented during construction.
- Provide support for the necessary progressive authorities’ approvals during design and construction.
- Support the project team during handover of the project to the Client.
- Promote collaborative working relationships and proactive issue resolution.
- Degree qualified in Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in design management on major projects.
- Proven experience managing lead design consultants (LDCs) and multidisciplinary design teams.
- Strong experience delivering Commercial / mixed‑use developments, Design & Build projects and design through to construction delivery.
- Experience with in delivery partner / PMC environments preferred.
- Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and have relevant work experience working on high valued projects/programmes for a project management consultancy business, which are required for immigration and client approval.
