Technical Engineer​/Designer - Architectural

Job Overview

Architectural Designer – responsible for the conceptualization, detailing and coordination of large‑scale retail, commercial, healthcare, residential and mixed‑use projects in accordance with Saudi Building Code and client specifications.

• Develop architectural designs, concept development and space planning for large‑scale projects.
• Create floor plans, elevations, sections and 3D visualizations to communicate design intent.
• Prepare detailed architectural drawings, facade designs, interior layouts and finishing details in coordination with structural and MEP engineers.
• Conduct architectural design reviews, value engineering studies and design optimization to ensure aesthetic quality, functionality and cost‑effectiveness.
• Review and verify architectural drawings, shop drawings and design submittals prepared by consultants, subcontractors and draughtsmen.
• Prepare technical specifications, material schedules, door and window schedules and finishing specifications for architectural works.
• Coordinate with design consultants, interior designers and project teams to resolve design issues, clashes and technical challenges.
• Develop facade designs, cladding systems, curtain wall details and architectural feature elements ensuring compliance with design intent and technical requirements.
• Prepare architectural details for joinery, ceiling systems, wall sections and finishing elements with attention to constructability and installation methods.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Building Code, accessibility standards, fire safety codes and project specifications.
• Support construction teams by providing technical guidance, design clarifications and on‑site design support during execution.
• Review method statements, mock‑ups, material samples and construction details for architectural quality and compliance.
• Participate in design coordination meetings, design charrettes and client presentation sessions.
• Prepare design presentations, 3D renderings, material boards and design reports for management review and client approval.
• Utilize design software including AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch Up and 3dsMax or equivalent tools for design development and visualization.
• Stay updated on the latest architectural design trends, building materials and construction technologies.

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering from a recognized university.
• Master's Degree in Architecture is an advantage.
• Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience as an Architectural Designer or Technical Architect in construction or design consultancy.
• Proven experience working on large‑scale retail, commercial, healthcare, residential and mixed‑use projects.
• Strong background in architectural design, detailing, facade design and technical coordination for building projects.
• Professional Architect license or equivalent professional certification.
• LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional) is preferred.
• Familiarity with ISO
  9001 standards.
• Proficiency in English is mandatory;
  Arabic proficiency is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills essential for coordination with consultants, clients and project teams.

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and BIM for architectural design and documentation.
• Strong knowledge of Sketch Up, 3dsMax, Lumion or equivalent 3D modeling and rendering software.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for design presentations.
• Strong knowledge of architectural design principles, building codes and material specifications.
• Solid understanding of Saudi Building Code (SBC), accessibility codes and fire safety regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret structural and MEP drawings and coordinate multidisciplinary designs.
• Familiarity with BIM coordination and clash detection processes.
• Knowledge of facade engineering, curtain wall systems and architectural detailing.
