UI/UX Design
We’re looking for a skilled and confident Senior UX Designer to join our Customer Experience team in an embedded capacity with one of Saudi Arabia’s leading banks. This is a hybrid role that sits at the intersection of product thinking and visual craft, working within the client’s Riyadh office and remaining a valued member of the VML agency team.
Responsibilities- Contribute to the definition and shaping of digital banking products, working alongside product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and translate them into experience solutions.
- Design intuitive user flows, wireframes and high‑fidelity UI that align with the client’s established design system.
- Apply and work confidently within an existing design system, using components correctly and flagging genuine gaps to the appropriate system owners.
- Translate business and user requirements into clear, well‑reasoned design solutions that balance user needs with commercial and technical constraints.
- Collaborate with a cross‑functional client team, contributing meaningfully to sprint cycles and product planning.
- Communicate design decisions clearly and confidently to stakeholders, backing recommendations with evidence and rationale.
- Work across multiple product areas or features simultaneously, managing priorities in a fast‑paced product environment.
- Participate in regular VML department meetings and contribute to the wider CX team’s knowledge sharing, culture, and development.
- 6+ years of experience in UX and product design, with a portfolio that demonstrates both strong product thinking and high‑quality visual design.
- Proven experience working in a product environment within a corporate or enterprise organisation; an understanding of product development, team structure and effective collaboration in that context.
- Solid experience working with and applying a comprehensive, established design system, respecting and maintaining its consistency.
- Experience with user research, comfortable with qualitative methods and using insight to inform design.
- Ability to contribute at both the definition and execution stages of a product, comfortable in discovery workshops as well as final‑screen refinement in Figma.
- Strong visual design skills with a clear eye for detail, hierarchy and consistency.
- Experience collaborating directly with clients and client‑side teams, building relationships and working with autonomy and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently in an embedded setting while remaining connected to and contributing to a wider agency team.
- Experience in financial services, banking or similarly regulated, large‑scale product environments is a strong advantage.
- Based in Riyadh, or willing to relocate.
- A native Arabic speaker.
- Willing to dedicate normal working hours (9–6) and spend each working day in the office.
You’ll be joining VML’s 20+ strong MENA CX department, spread across three countries, made up of visual designers, UX architects, researchers and strategists. Although embedded with the client in Riyadh, you’ll remain a full member of our team, attending regular department meetings and enjoying agency‑wide mentorship and growth opportunities.
Why This Role is DifferentAn embedded agency role can vary widely. This one stands out because the client is design‑mature, has an established design system, and the team truly respects the value of UX. You’ll have the support of both the client’s strong product environment and the agency’s resources, allowing you to focus on delivering experiences for millions of banking customers.
