The role focuses on site-based landscape supervision across iconic parks, neighborhood open spaces, streetscape corridors, planting works, irrigation interfaces, soil preparation, landscape materials, and public realm elements that improve livability, accessibility and community experience.

The Senior Landscape Architect will act as the landscape discipline lead on site, ensuring that softscape, planting, turf, soil works, planters, site furniture, irrigation coordination, and related landscape elements are built in line with approved drawings, project specifications, horticultural standards and the original design intent. This position supports the successful delivery of a high-profile public realm programme in Diriyah by maintaining quality control, resolving site interfaces, protecting landscape design value, and helping create outdoor spaces that are functional, attractive, sustainable and suitable for Saudi Arabia's climate.
Key Responsibilities- Report to the Construction Director or Resident Engineer and lead landscape supervision activities on site.
- Supervise the construction of landscape works including softscape, planting, turf, soil works, planting beds, planters, site furniture and associated public realm elements.
- Monitor daily landscape activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, project standards, quality requirements and design intent.
- Review shop drawings, planting plans, coordination drawings, material submittals, method statements and inspection and test plans for landscape works.
- Coordinate approval workflows with contractors, consultants, design teams, irrigation specialists, utilities engineers and other project stakeholders.
- Conduct daily inspections and regular site walks to assess progress, workmanship, planting quality, soil preparation, grading, layout and landscape finishing.
- Verify plant species, sizes, quantities, spacing, health condition and installation locations against approved drawings and plant schedules.
- Check levels, grading, bed shapes, edges, interfaces and transitions to ensure proper coordination with hardscape, utilities, structures and architectural elements.
- Follow up on inspection requests, nonconformance reports, site observations and corrective actions until proper closure is achieved.
- Work closely with hardscape architects, wet and dry utilities engineers, irrigation teams, structural teams, architectural teams and contractors to resolve site conflicts.
- Review samples, mock-ups, trial planting areas, landscape materials and site furniture before full‑scale implementation.
- Oversee plant delivery, handling, storage, installation and protection to ensure healthy planting and compliance with best horticultural practice.
- Monitor initial maintenance and establishment activities including irrigation, fertilization, pruning, replacement planting and care of failed or stressed plants.
- Review as‑built drawings and landscape operation and maintenance manuals for accuracy, completeness and handover readiness.
- Participate in progress, technical and coordination meetings, providing clear input on landscape issues, risks, delays and mitigation measures.
- Monitor the contractor's work programme, sequencing, resources and productivity for landscape packages.
- Ensure HSE requirements are implemented across all landscape construction activities in line with Parsons and project policies.
- Prepare daily reports, weekly site updates, quality reports, technical memos and discipline‑related correspondence as required.
