JobPurpose
The Interior Designer is responsible for developing creative and functional interior design concepts for offices, commercial spaces, and operational environments. The role involves preparing design layouts, selecting materials and finishes, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring designs align with business requirements, brand standards, and project objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop interior design concepts, space planning layouts, and design presentations.
- Prepare 2D drawings, layouts, and design documentation.
- Create 3D visualizations and renderings to support project proposals.
- Select furniture, materials, finishes, lighting, and decorative elements.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and vendors during project execution.
- Conduct site visits and assess project requirements.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
- Review shop drawings and material submittals.
- Support cost estimation and material selection activities.
- Participate in design reviews and client presentations.
- Maintain project documentation and design records.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in Interior Design projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Sketch Up.
- Experience with rendering tools such as Lumion, Escape, 3ds Max, or similar software.
- Good understanding of space planning, materials, finishes, and furniture specifications.
- Ability to prepare design presentations and technical drawings.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- A portfolio showcasing previous interior design work is preferred.
