ALEC FITOUT is the specialist interiors division of ALEC, focusing on high-end fit-out and refurbishment projects for 5-star hotels, luxury retail, commercial, and cultural destinations. We manage the complete process, from engineering and procurement to site execution and finishing, with precision and integrity.

As a Design Manager
, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality interior fit-out projects from concept through completion. Your expertise in design management, technical coordination, and fit-out delivery will be essential in ensuring that every aspect of the project aligns with the client's vision, functional requirements, budget, and quality standards. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with consultants and contractors, and drive design excellence to deliver exceptional interior environments.

• Lead Interior Fit-Out Design: Oversee the development and coordination of interior fit-out design packages across commercial, hospitality, residential, retail, or mixed-use projects, ensuring functionality, quality, and alignment with project objectives.
• Deliver High-Quality Interior Spaces: Collaborate with architects, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams to create practical, aesthetically refined, and technically sound interior environments that meet client expectations.
• Coordinate Design Excellence: Manage design coordination between internal teams, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors, ensuring all design deliverables comply with project requirements, budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
• Drive Schedule and Deliverables: Develop and maintain the design programme, ensuring timely completion of design packages, material approvals, shop drawing reviews, and project milestones.
• Solve Complex Design Challenges: Provide practical and innovative solutions to technical and design coordination issues throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring seamless integration of architectural, interior, MEP, and specialist systems.
• Lead a High-Performance Team: Mentor and guide the design team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement while ensuring successful project delivery.
• Provide Progress Reports: Regularly report design progress, key milestones, risks, and coordination issues to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring informed decision‑making and project success.

• Extensive Fit-Out
  
  Experience:
  
  Minimum 8–10 years of experience managing interior fit-out projects across commercial, hospitality, residential, retail, workplace, or mixed-use developments, with a strong understanding of design coordination and project delivery.
• Strong Design Leadership: Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary design teams, manage multiple stakeholders, and deliver complex fit-out projects from concept through construction.
• Technical Expertise: Proficient in AutoCAD
  , Adobe Acrobat
  , and experienced in reviewing technical drawings, shop drawings, FF&E packages, material specifications, and construction details.
• Design Coordination
  
  Skills:
  
  Strong understanding of architectural, interior, MEP, and specialist design coordination, ensuring all disciplines are fully integrated before construction.
• Problem Solver: Excellent analytical and decision‑making skills with the ability to resolve technical and design challenges efficiently while maintaining project quality and timelines.
• Exceptional Communicator: Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with experience coordinating clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal project teams throughout all project phases.
• Quality & Delivery Focus: Demonstrated ability to manage design quality, monitor project progress, and ensure compliance with project standards, budgets, and programme requirements.
