Summary of the role:

The Site Architect is responsible for overseeing the architectural execution of construction projects on-site, ensuring that all works are carried out in accordance with the approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and project schedule. The role involves coordinating with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and design integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise architectural works on-site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Review architectural shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements prior to execution.
  • Coordinate architectural activities with structural, MEP, and interior fit-out teams to resolve design conflicts.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress, workmanship, and quality.
  • Identify construction issues and propose practical technical solutions in coordination with the design and project teams.
  • Prepare and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and Site Instructions (SIs) as required.
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure works are completed according to project schedules.
  • Attend site meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Review mock-ups, material samples, and finishes to ensure compliance with design intent and project specifications.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
  • Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, building codes, and health and safety requirements.
  • Participate in snagging, de-snagging, testing, commissioning, and final project handover.
  • Maintain accurate site documentation, inspection records, and project correspondence.
  • Support the Project Manager in monitoring project progress, risks, and overall site performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the management.
  • Stay up to date with market trends and best practices in the field.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience including 6+ years' experience in the site.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus.
  • Saudi Driving License is preferred.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-end interior and exterior projects.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficient in using AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch Up, and Project management software.
  • Arabic speaking is a must.
  • Strong knowledge of architectural detailing and construction methodologies.
  • Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
  • Experience reviewing shop drawings and material submittals.
  • Understanding of QA/QC procedures and construction quality standards.
  • Familiarity with local building codes and authority requirements.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and team coordination skills.
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills
  • Proactive in identifying and resolving project issues.
Working conditions and Environment:
  • The position is site based in Riyadh, KSA, with frequent visits to different project Sites within Riyadh.
  • The position may have occasional international travel requirements.
