An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Lead Architect to join the Riyadh Metro – Line 2 Extension project within the Technical Department. This senior leadership role is ideal for highly qualified architecture professionals with extensive experience delivering large-scale metro, rail, and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will lead the architectural design of metro stations, depots, and associated facilities from concept development through construction documentation.

As the Lead Architect, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, oversee architectural design quality, manage stakeholder coordination, and ensure compliance with Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) standards, local regulations, and international best practices. • Lead architectural design development for metro stations, depots, and ancillary facilities from concept through construction documentation.
• Ensure architectural designs comply with Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) standards, local building codes, and international transit infrastructure best practices.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, systems, and civil engineering teams to deliver integrated and buildable design solutions.
• Review and approve architectural drawings, technical specifications, and material submittals.
• Manage architectural interfaces with joint venture partners and coordinate project deliverables.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise the architectural design team while maintaining quality standards.
• Liaise with client representatives and design reviewers to obtain approvals and manage design changes.
• Support value engineering initiatives while maintaining project budget and schedule objectives.
• Ensure compliance with accessibility, fire and life safety, and passenger experience requirements.
• Participate in technical coordination meetings, design reviews, and site inspections.

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited university.

Experience

• Minimum of 12–15 years of architectural experience.
• At least 5 years in a Lead Architect role on large-scale infrastructure or transit projects.
• Prior experience on metro, railway, or transit station architecture projects is strongly preferred.
• GCC project experience is preferred.
