This position supports AECOM 's Buildings and Places business line within its Middle East and Africa operations. The CAD Operator will collaborate with engineers, architects and project managers to produce construction, engineering or production drawings. The role combines digital modelling, document control, drawing verification and technical coordination across multiple assignments.

• Create and modify two-dimensional technical drawings.
• Develop and optimize three-dimensional CAD models.
• Produce documentation based on approved project specifications.
• Interpret design briefs, engineering sketches and technical information.
• Translate concepts into clear and accurate digital representations.
• Organise CAD files using established naming conventions.
• Maintain drawing version control and supporting project records.
• Coordinate drawing requirements with architects and engineers.
• Work with project managers to meet delivery schedules.
• Resolve drawing inconsistencies and technical coordination issues.
• Verify compliance with applicable standards and codes.
• Apply company specifications to all issued drawings.
• Prepare detailed documents for construction or production.
• Review completed drawings for accuracy and completeness.
• Confirm alignment with approved project requirements.
• Help develop CAD templates and drawing standards.
• Recommend workflow improvements that increase drafting efficiency.
• Communicate drawing revisions and project status to team members.
• Document technical specifications and agreed design changes.
• Troubleshoot CAD software and file-performance issues.
• Manage several drawing assignments while maintaining quality.
• Maintain accurate, traceable and properly coordinated deliverables.

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Solid Works or comparable CAD software.
• Demonstrated experience creating two-dimensional and three-dimensional drawings.
• Strong understanding of technical drawing conventions and symbols.
• Ability to interpret engineering and architectural specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and drawing accuracy.
• Ability to identify and correct errors in complex documentation.
• Strong analytical and design problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective organization and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple project priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ten years of professional CAD operation experience is preferred.
• Construction, manufacturing, engineering or architectural experience is advantageous.
• Familiarity with project-management platforms is preferred.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and drawing protocols.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
