DAR AL OMRAN - RASEM BADRAN (DAO-Badran) is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Signage and Wayfinding Specialist to support the planning, coordination, design review, and implementation of signage and way finding systems across architectural, urban, hospitality, cultural, and mixed-use projects.
This role requires a strong understanding of signage design principles, way finding strategy, user journey mapping, accessibility requirements, material coordination, and multidisciplinary design integration. The ideal candidate should be able to coordinate with architects, interior designers, landscape designers, branding consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure signage and way finding solutions are clear, functional, compliant, and aligned with the overall project identity.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, review, and coordinate signage and way finding strategies for assigned projects.
- Prepare and review signage location plans, way finding diagrams, sign schedules, message schedules, and signage packages.
- Coordinate signage design requirements with architectural, interior design, landscape, lighting, MEP, and branding teams.
- Ensure signage and way finding solutions support clear user movement, accessibility, safety, and operational efficiency.
- Review signage shop drawings, material samples, mock-ups, technical details, and contractor submissions.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, authority requirements, accessibility standards, and client guidelines.
- Coordinate signage placement, visibility, mounting details, materials, finishes, illumination, and installation requirements.
- Support site inspections and verify signage installation quality against approved drawings and specifications.
- Identify design conflicts or coordination issues and propose practical solutions.
- Maintain proper documentation, review comments, trackers, and coordination records related to signage and way finding scope.
- Bachelor degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Urban Design, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in signage, way finding, environmental graphic design, or design coordination.
- Experience in architectural, cultural, commercial, mixed-use, or large-scale public realm projects.
- Strong understanding of signage types, way finding logic, user experience, visibility, accessibility, and circulation planning. Ability to review technical drawings, shop drawings, material submissions, and signage schedules.
- Good knowledge of materials, fabrication methods, mounting systems, lighting integration, and installation requirements.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office. Revit knowledge is an advantage.
- Strong coordination, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in GCC projects is preferred.
- Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple project requirements under tight deadlines.
