The Architect Manager provides senior architectural leadership across complex luxury developments where design quality, material selection, operational functionality, sustainability, and construction execution must remain closely aligned. The position transforms ambitious design concepts into technically achievable solutions while safeguarding the distinctive character and quality expected from premium assets. Working across architecture, interiors, structural engineering, building services, contractors, specialist consultants, and client stakeholders, the role maintains design integrity throughout the full project lifecycle.
Strong architectural governance helps prevent coordination failures, protect the intended guest or resident experience, and ensure that final construction reflects approved design aspirations.
- Lead architectural design and delivery across assigned luxury asset projects.
- Ensure architectural concepts align with the development vision, brand identity, and established quality expectations.
- Manage architectural activities from early concept development through detailed design, construction documentation, and final delivery.
- Establish architectural strategies, policies, design guidelines, and best practices suited to premium developments.
- Translate ambitious design concepts into feasible, coordinated, and constructible architectural solutions.
- Maintain the intended balance between luxury aesthetics, functionality, sustainability, and project performance.
- Provide senior technical direction to internal teams and external design consultants.
- Ensure design development remains consistent with approved project objectives and architectural intent.
- Luxury material and finish selection will require direct senior involvement.
- Provide strategic guidance on premium materials, finishes, architectural details, fixtures, and emerging technologies.
- Evaluate material proposals for aesthetics, durability, maintainability, sustainability, availability, and installation quality.
- Ensure material selections reinforce the intended luxury identity without creating unnecessary technical or commercial risk.
- Review architectural mock‑ups, samples, finish boards, and related design submissions where required.
- Coordinate specialist design requirements that affect premium architectural finishes and guest‑facing spaces.
- Support decisions where alternative products or materials are proposed during procurement or construction.
- Design assurance will be maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, schedules, reports, and technical documentation.
- Approve architectural deliverables within delegated authority.
- Verify compliance with project standards, quality procedures, and applicable building codes.
- Ensure designs satisfy relevant local authority requirements and approved international standards.
- Monitor architectural QA/QC processes and ensure review comments are properly resolved.
- Identify design inconsistencies, incomplete information, and coordination risks before documents progress.
- Maintain high standards of technical accuracy and architectural presentation across all submissions.
- Work closely with interior designers, structural engineers, mechanical and electrical specialists, landscape teams, and other disciplines.
- Resolve technical interfaces between architecture and building systems.
- Coordinate architectural requirements affecting structures, facades, vertical transportation, building services, interiors, and external spaces.
- Lead discussions when technical constraints conflict with architectural aspirations.
- Ensure design decisions are communicated accurately across consultants and delivery teams.
