Position Overview

Parsons is seeking a Saudi National Architect Engineer in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to perform conventional and moderately complex architectural assignments across design development, technical documentation, and project coordination. The role requires independent judgment in developing architectural solutions while applying established design standards, practices, techniques, and project requirements. The Architect Engineer will contribute to architectural studies, design concepts, construction documentation, specifications, and multidisciplinary coordination.

The position also involves reviewing work prepared by architectural designers, providing technical guidance, and ensuring that architectural deliverables comply with applicable codes, standards, and Client requirements.

Architectural Design Responsibilities
  • Perform a broad range of conventional and moderately complex architectural assignments independently.
  • Apply established architectural design standards, practices, and techniques.
  • Exercise independent judgment when developing original architectural designs.

  • Conduct architectural studies to support project requirements.
  • Develop design concepts and appropriate design criteria.

Design Review and Documentation
  • Review CAD drawings prepared by architectural designers.
  • Assess architectural renderings, layouts, study models, and color boards.
  • Review construction documents for technical accuracy and design compliance.
  • Verify compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Ensure architectural deliverables satisfy Client requirements.
  • Review detailed design and construction drawings prepared by others.
  • Review and approve applicable architectural specifications.
  • Issue detailed drawings and specifications in accordance with project requirements.
  • Maintain consistency between design intent and construction documentation.
Specifications and Materials
  • Write construction specifications for architectural works.
  • Prepare detailed requisitions for required equipment and materials.
  • Coordinate with suppliers when technical input or clarification is required.
  • Review material and equipment requirements in relation to architectural designs.
  • Support the integration of specified materials and equipment into project documentation.
Project and Site Coordination

The Architect Engineer will coordinate architectural requirements with engineering and construction teams at the project site. This multidisciplinary interface will help maintain alignment between architectural design intent, technical requirements, and construction activities. The role requires effective communication with project participants and the ability to resolve architectural matters while maintaining compliance with approved design documentation and applicable project requirements.

Technical Leadership
  • Provide technical guidance to architectural designers and drafters assigned to the same project.
  • Review architectural work produced by other team members.
  • Support consistent application of project design criteria and architectural standards.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor 's degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant architectural or engineering experience, or a broad general engineering background.
  • Professional registration may be required depending on project, statutory, or contractual requirements.
