The Consultant Dermatologist will take clinical responsibility for evaluating and managing patients with a diverse range of skin, hair, nail, and related dermatological disorders. The position involves detailed assessment, differential diagnosis, individualized treatment planning, procedural intervention, counseling, and ongoing monitoring. Effective specialist management can improve symptom control, treatment outcomes, and quality of life for patients with persistent or complex conditions. The Consultant will combine independent clinical judgment with multidisciplinary collaboration to maintain continuity and quality throughout the patient care pathway.

• Conduct specialist consultations and obtain detailed medical and dermatological histories.
• Perform comprehensive clinical examinations to evaluate presenting skin conditions.
• Diagnose a broad spectrum of acute, chronic, recurrent, and complex dermatological disorders.
• Establish differential diagnoses and determine when additional investigations are required.
• Develop individualized treatment strategies based on clinical findings and patient circumstances.
• Manage chronic dermatological conditions requiring continued specialist supervision.
• Perform appropriate dermatological procedures within the approved scope of practice.
• Review laboratory, diagnostic, and other relevant clinical findings when determining treatment.
• Prescribe and monitor appropriate therapies according to individual patient requirements.
• Assess treatment effectiveness and modify management plans when necessary.
• Counsel patients regarding diagnoses, available therapies, procedural options, and expected outcomes.
• Provide guidance on medication use, skin care, preventive measures, and treatment adherence.
• Conduct follow-up consultations and monitor clinical progress over time.
• Recognize complications, adverse treatment responses, or changing symptoms requiring further intervention.
• Maintain accurate medical records covering consultations, diagnoses, procedures, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
• Coordinate referrals or additional specialist input when clinically appropriate.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other members of multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety, confidentiality, clinical quality, and professional practice.

The successful candidate should hold an MD, DNB, Board certification, Fellowship, PhD, or equivalent recognized higher specialty qualification in Dermatology.
