The Consultant Dermatologist will deliver specialist clinical care across the complete dermatology pathway, beginning with detailed patient assessment and diagnosis and continuing through treatment, appropriate procedures, counseling, and follow-up management. The role has a direct impact on diagnostic accuracy, symptom management, treatment outcomes, and continuity of care. Advanced clinical judgment will be particularly important when managing patients with persistent, recurrent, or complicated dermatological conditions requiring individualized therapeutic strategies.

• Conduct comprehensive consultations for patients presenting with dermatological concerns.
• Obtain relevant medical histories and perform detailed clinical examinations.
• Diagnose a broad range of acute, chronic, recurrent, and complex dermatological conditions.
• Develop differential diagnoses and determine appropriate investigations where required.
• Create individualized treatment plans based on diagnosis, clinical findings, and patient requirements.
• Manage complex dermatology cases requiring senior specialist expertise.
• Provide continuing clinical management for patients with chronic skin conditions.
• Perform appropriate dermatological procedures within the approved scope of specialist practice.
• Evaluate diagnostic results and incorporate findings into treatment decisions.
• Prescribe appropriate therapies and monitor patient response to treatment.
• Modify treatment strategies when clinical progress or changing symptoms require adjustment.
• Counsel patients on their diagnosis, available treatment options, procedures, and anticipated outcomes.
• Explain medication use, skin care requirements, treatment adherence, and relevant preventive measures.
• Conduct follow-up consultations and evaluate clinical progress.
• Identify complications, adverse reactions, or treatment concerns requiring further intervention.
• Maintain accurate medical records covering assessments, diagnoses, procedures, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and consistently apply professional clinical standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals when multidisciplinary management is required.
• Support high standards of patient safety, clinical quality, and evidence-based dermatology practice.

Candidates should hold an MD, DNB, Board certification, Fellowship, PhD, or equivalent recognized higher specialty qualification in Dermatology.
