The Consultant Plastic Surgeon will take responsibility for the complete surgical journey of patients requiring plastic, reconstructive, and related procedures. Clinical duties extend from initial consultation and assessment through diagnosis, individualized surgical planning, operative intervention, postoperative monitoring, and continuing follow-up. Success in this position directly influences surgical safety, treatment quality, recovery progress, and patient outcomes. The Consultant will apply advanced clinical judgment while coordinating closely with multidisciplinary medical professionals throughout complex episodes of surgical care.

• Conduct specialist consultations and comprehensive patient assessments.
• Review medical histories, presenting concerns, and relevant clinical findings.
• Establish diagnoses and determine appropriate surgical or related treatment options.
• Develop individualized treatment plans according to each patient 's clinical requirements.
• Evaluate patient suitability for plastic, reconstructive, and related surgical procedures.
• Explain recommended procedures, anticipated outcomes, potential risks, and recovery expectations.
• Perform plastic and reconstructive surgical procedures within the approved specialist scope of practice.
• Coordinate investigations and other clinical requirements before surgical intervention.
• Provide comprehensive pre-operative assessment and preparation.
• Ensure patients receive appropriate guidance before planned procedures.
• Work closely with anesthesia, operating theatre, nursing, and supporting clinical teams during surgical care.
• Provide comprehensive postoperative management following procedures.
• Monitor recovery, wound healing, and overall clinical progress.
• Conduct follow-up consultations and assess surgical outcomes.
• Identify postoperative complications or concerns requiring further intervention.
• Adjust treatment and recovery plans according to clinical progress.
• Maintain accurate consultation notes, operative reports, treatment records, and follow-up documentation.
• Uphold patient confidentiality, professional ethics, and established standards of medical practice.
• Maintain rigorous patient safety and clinical quality throughout the surgical pathway.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary medical teams when coordinated specialist care is required.

The preferred candidate should hold an MD, DNB, Board certification, Fellowship, or equivalent recognized qualification in Plastic Surgery. Several years of relevant professional experience are required, including substantial post-specialization practice. The successful Consultant should demonstrate established expertise in patient assessment, diagnosis, surgical decision-making, treatment planning, plastic surgery, reconstructive procedures, and postoperative management. A methodical approach to pre-operative evaluation and recovery monitoring is essential.
