The Consultant Dermatologist will provide specialist medical care for patients presenting with acute, chronic, recurrent, and complex dermatological conditions. The position combines advanced diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, procedural dermatology, patient counseling, follow-up management, and multidisciplinary clinical collaboration. The role contributes directly to diagnostic accuracy, treatment effectiveness, patient safety, and continuity of care. Sound clinical decision-making and precise documentation are essential for maintaining high standards across the Dermatology service.

• Conduct comprehensive dermatology consultations and obtain relevant medical histories.
• Assess patients with skin, hair, nail, and related dermatological conditions.
• Diagnose common, complex, chronic, and recurrent skin disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans according to clinical findings and patient requirements.
• Perform appropriate dermatological procedures within the approved specialist scope of practice.
• Review diagnostic investigations and incorporate findings into clinical management.
• Monitor treatment response and adjust therapeutic plans when clinically necessary.
• Provide clear counseling regarding diagnoses, medications, procedures, expected outcomes, and follow-up requirements.
• Educate patients on skin care, treatment adherence, prevention, and long-term condition management.
• Conduct follow-up consultations to evaluate progress and identify new clinical concerns.
• Recognize complications or treatment-related issues and initiate appropriate medical intervention.
• Maintain complete and accurate consultation notes, treatment plans, procedure records, and follow-up documentation.
• Protect patient confidentiality and uphold professional medical standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals involved in patient care.
• Participate in multidisciplinary discussions for cases requiring coordinated specialist input.
• Maintain high standards of clinical quality, patient safety, and professional practice.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in Dermatology services and patient outcomes.

The successful candidate should hold an MD, DNB, Board certification, Fellowship, PhD, or equivalent recognized higher specialty qualification in Dermatology. Several years of relevant professional experience in Dermatology are required, including substantial post-qualification clinical practice.
