Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Arabic & Islamic Studies Manager to provide academic leadership and ensure the effective implementation of the Saudi national curriculum within an international school environment. This role plays a strategic part in maintaining Ministry of Education compliance, enhancing teaching quality, and supporting the integration of Arabic, Islamic Studies, and Saudi History & Social Studies into a broader international curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and oversee the Saudi curriculum across grade levels in alignment with MOE requirements and school standards
- Support the integration of Arabic, Islamic Studies, and Saudi History & Social Studies into the international curriculum
- Ensure curriculum delivery aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 education objectives and the school’s academic philosophy
- Adapt and contextualize international curriculum materials to reflect Saudi culture, values, and regulations
- Provide academic guidance to teachers, promoting effective teaching practices and student‑centered learning
- Mentor, coach, and support faculty in lesson planning, assessment, and classroom management
- Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to enhance teaching quality
- Design and deliver professional development workshops for faculty
- Ensure full compliance with Saudi Ministry of Education regulations and academic requirements
- Support the preparation and submission of MOE documentation, reports, and approvals
- Build and maintain effective relationships with MOE officials and local education stakeholders
- Monitor student performance data to support continuous improvement initiatives
- Support school leadership during inspections, accreditations, and internal audits
- Contribute to the development and implementation of academic policies and procedures
- Collaborate closely with school leadership to align academic goals with operational priorities
- Engage with parents and the wider school community on academic matters
- Represent the school in professional and community educational events when required
Qualifications
Education / Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
- Master’s degree is preferred
Experience
- Minimum 7 years of teaching experience
- At least 2–3 years in an academic coordination or management role
- Proven experience implementing the Saudi national curriculum
- Prior experience within international or bilingual school environments is highly desirable
Skills & Attributes
- Strong knowledge of Saudi MOE regulations, requirements, and submission processes
- Demonstrated ability to support teachers and improve instructional quality
- Excellent leadership, mentoring, and people‑management skills
- Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment
- Passion for education with a commitment to academic excellence and inclusivity
