EFL Instructor at INTERLINK International Institutes (males and females) in Riyadh, Khobar, and Qassim

Locations: Al Yamamah University (Riyadh & Al Khobar), Mohammed Alkhudair School for the Gifted and Talented (MKSGT), and Mohammed Alkhudair Technical and Vocational Training College (MKTVTC) – Qassim, Saudi Arabia

The Teaching Context

INTERLINK International Institutes is hiring EFL instructors to join its programs at leading educational institutions in Saudi Arabia.

Al Yamamah University (YU) in Riyadh and Al Khobar offers programs in Business Administration, Architecture & Engineering, and Law as well as Executive MBA, master’s degrees in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Management Information Systems, and Business Law. English being the medium of instruction, INTERLINK International Institutes provides an intensive English language program during the foundation year to prepare students for academic studies at the University.

With a strong reputation among employers and government agencies, both INTERLINK and YU are well-known for their focus on transformative education.

In Qassim, INTERLINK supports high-achieving students at MKSGT, a selective high school for gifted and talented learners preparing for studies at highly selective global universities, and at MKTVTC, where students are trained for direct entry into the workforce. In both institutions, INTERLINK provides intensive English instruction and academic orientation grounded in transformative, project-based learning.

Curriculum and Instructor Role

Our project-based curriculum is based on the principle of having instructors provide structure while students provide content. This involves discussion with students about criteria for creating or choosing targeted content, and about criteria used in assessment of demonstrated language ability in relation to the language level benchmarks specified in the curriculum. Articulation of these criteria is done by students, helped along as needed by guiding questions from the instructor (rather than prescribed “top‑down” by the instructor).

As students supply more and more content, lesson planning becomes necessarily less detailed while in class, the instructor focuses more on immediate, opportunistic exploitation of student contributions that arise spontaneously during the course of a class and offer targeted learning opportunities. Instructors will engage in reflection – personal as well as peer and coordinator observation and analysis – to help develop more ways to have their classroom activities incorporate student produced or identified ideas/materials.

Instructors do ongoing formative assessment of student learning which should lead to documented prescriptive suggestions and follow up.

Responsibilities
  • Teach in all skill areas (20‑24 contact hours per week)
  • Assist with training and mentoring other EFL instructors at the school as needed.
  • Work on curriculum development and communicate with the Instructional Leadership Team and INTERLINK leadership team on a regular basis (weekly or as needed)

  • Do student‑advising, record‑keeping, and report‑writing
  • Participate in meetings (with students, peers, parents, and others)
  • Keep office hours for advising and counseling students
