Responsibilities- Lead science teaching across the senior school, ensuring high quality learning experiences.
- Design and deliver engaging lessons that align with the English National Curriculum.
- Use effective assessment and feedback strategies to support student progress.
- Create a positive classroom climate that promotes well‑being and intercultural respect.
- Support pastoral care as a Form Tutor, providing support for students’ social, emotional and academic well‑being.
- Collaborate with colleagues, contribute to the school’s co‑curricular life and community events.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to curriculum development and assessment.
- Qualified Teacher status (QTS) and a valid UK‑recognised teaching qualification.
- 2 or more years of teaching experience, ideally in a British curriculum context.
- Experience teaching science with a specialism in chemistry preferred.
- Experience working with diverse learning needs and higher‑ability students.
- Strong knowledge of the English National Curriculum and assessment for learning strategies.
- Excellent organisational, communication and time‑management skills.
- Innovative, enthusiastic and reflective practitioner with a passion for learning.
- Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, a good sense of humour and flexibility.
- Team player committed to professional development and the school’s mission, vision and motto.
- Willingness to support co‑curricular activities and to contribute to the broader school community.
