Assistant Professor of Practice in Philosophy

Responsibilities

You will inspire and mentor undergraduate students in each of the majors being offered in philosophy coursework, incorporating the latest advancements and real-world applications.

• Teach courses such as Introduction to Philosophy, Academic Assessment, Curriculum Development, and other philosophy courses.
• Collect learning assessment data as needed.
• Contribute to innovative curriculum development.
• Mentor and guide students, fostering their professional development and preparing them for successful careers.
• Engage in service activities that contribute to the department, college, and university.
• Support and engage in student-focused activities to enhance the vibrant student population at the UNH-Riyadh campus.

• Ph.D. in Philosophy with college-level teaching experience.
• M.A. in Philosophy with significant college-level teaching experience (considered).
• Teaching Excellence: At least 2 years of demonstrated excellence in college-level teaching, with a passion for student learning and mentorship.

  Skills:
  
  Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, to effectively engage with students. Bilingual language skills are a plus.
