Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver excellent teaching and learning experiences for Key Stage 2 students.
- Plan lessons and assessments that support the English National curriculum.
- Use high-quality assessment and feedback strategies to monitor student progress.
- Foster a positive learning climate and support holistic development and well‑being.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the broader school community, including co‑curricular programmes.
- Support the school’s mission, vision, and motto and promote an inclusive, respectful culture.
- Be an innovative, creative and reflective practitioner committed to professional development.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher status (UK or UK recognised).
- Certificate of Education (PGCE or
B.Ed). - Relevant training or qualifications for the specific post.
- Understanding of the English National Curriculum and assessment for learning.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years teaching experience.
- Experience teaching Key Stage 2 or similar subject.
- Experience working in UK or international contexts.
- Experience planning for diverse learning needs, including highly able students.
- Experience with positive behaviour management strategies.
- Experience in curriculum development, monitoring and assessment.
Skills and Abilities:
- Creative, engaging teaching style.
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
- Effective communication with pupils, parents and colleagues.
- Ability to lead and support teaching assistants.
- Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and participate in co‑curricular activities.
Personal Qualities:
- Warmth, sense of humour, flexibility, and teamwork.
- Commitment to professional development and high expectations for self and students.
- Empathy towards all stakeholders.
