m2r Education are working on behalf of an ultra high net worth family in Saudi Arabia who have a need for a highly experienced Deputy Educational Team Leader.
Reporting to the Education Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing personalised education to a small group of children, ensuring alignment with the appropriate curriculum (Cambridge / Pearson Edexel). We are looking for someone who is highly motivated with loads of enthusiasm and a stable career history in leadership within leading UK and British international schools.
You would be based in Riyadh however domestic (Jeddah mainly) and potentially international travel may be required, based on the family's itinerary. Given the potential travel involved, this role would be best suited to a candidate who can travel alone.
This is a full time role (40hrs per week) and you will be working in the family residence.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise a team of teachers providing personalised education to a small group of children from an elite family background
- Assist the Educational Team Leader in developing, implementing and overseeing a tailored educational program, ensuring it aligns with local school requirements and upholds the highest standards of academic and personal development.
- Supervising teaching practices to ensure alignment with the agreed educational philosophy and curriculum objectives.
- Manage timetables, schedules, and resources to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the educational program.
- Work with the Team Leader and teachers to design an enriching, balanced educational programme based on the local school curriculum, ensuring that it caters to academic excellence, cultural education and leadership development.
- Incorporate global perspectives, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving into the educational framework.
- Ensure lessons reflect the family's values, traditions, and aspirations for their children.
- Regularly evaluate students’ progress through personalised assessments and observations, ensuring their intellectual, emotional, and social needs are met.
- Organise and participate in meetings with teachers to review educational goals and outcomes.
- Significant experience in teaching and leadership roles within a high-performing or elite educational environment
- Qualified in and teaching experience in one of the core subjects (Maths, English Lit/Lang, Sciences)
- Proven experience managing a team of educators and implementing individualised education plans
- Familiarity with international curricula (eg British or American systems) and culturally responsive teaching
- Experience working with children from elite or culturally significant backgrounds
- Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Expertise in curriculum development, instructional strategies, and child-centred teaching methodologies.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, especially in high-stakes or culturally sensitive contexts.
- Cultural intelligence and the ability to adapt to the unique needs of a family’s traditions and values.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification (required).
- Recognised school leadership qualification (e.g., NPQSL)
- 5+ years full time leadership experience within a UK or British International School
