We are seeking an enthusiastic ICT Teacher to deliver high-quality computer and digital skills lessons to school-aged learners The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging lessons promote digital literacy and e-safety and support students to develop practical and theoretical ICT skills
Key Responsibilities- Plan prepare and deliver engaging ICT lessons that meet the needs of learners across ability ranges
- Teach core ICT topics including computer fundamentals productivity software coding basics networks and digital citizenship
- Integrate a variety of digital tools and resources to enhance learning and promote creativity
- Assess record and report on student progress provide constructive feedback to support improvement
- Promote online safety and responsible use of technology within lessons and school activities
- Maintain and manage ICT equipment and resources liaise with technical staff to resolve issues
- Support and supervise extracurricular activities such as coding clubs robotics or digital media projects
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student development and wellbeing
- Contribute to curriculum development and the continuous improvement of teaching practice
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education (ICT) or a related subject.
- Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, BEd) or equivalent professional teaching experience.
- Proven experience teaching ICT to school-aged children, with strong classroom management skills.
- Practical knowledge of common software suites (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace), basic programming (Python, Scratch or similar) and educational technology tools.
- Good understanding of e-safety and safeguarding principles.
- Excellent communication skills in English; ability to engage and motivate learners.
- Willingness to work on-site and participate in school events and professional development activities.
- Enthusiastic and student-centred approach to teaching.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learners.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and collaborative working.
