Full-time Workplace On-site Location Riyadh Saudi Arabia Role Overview We are seeking an experienced and inspiring Head of Maths to lead and develop the mathematics department The successful candidate will drive high standards of teaching and learning mentor colleagues and ensure outstanding outcomes for students across all year groups

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and vision for the mathematics department promoting high standards of teaching learning and assessment
  • Plan develop and evaluate the mathematics curriculum to meet national and school expectations and to prepare students for examinations and further study
  • Lead coach and mentor teaching staff organise professional development and performance management to improve practice and outcomes
  • Monitor and analyse student progress and assessment data to identify trends set targets and implement interventions where required
  • Manage department resources timetabling and classroom allocation to ensure effective delivery of lessons and support
  • Ensure schemes of work lesson planning and assessment practices are consistently applied and regularly reviewed
  • Foster strong relationships with parents carers and external stakeholders to support student achievement and engagement
  • Promote enrichment activities competitions and initiatives that enhance students mathematical confidence and problem-solving skills
  • Work collaboratively with senior leadership to contribute to whole-school improvement priorities and policies including safeguarding and inclusion
  • Recruit induct and line-manage department staff as required ensuring effective teamwork and professional conduct

Qualifications
  • A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
  • A recognised teaching qualification (for example PGCE, QTS or equivalent) and proven classroom teaching experience.
  • Significant experience of leading or managing a curriculum area, with demonstrable impact on student outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of assessment practices, data analysis and exam specifications relevant to the school s curriculum.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to motivate and develop colleagues.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and promoting positive behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Experience of working with a variety of curricula (desirable) and familiarity with international or British-style qualifications is an advantage.
