Electrical Power Production Technician

Essential Responsibilities

The designee shall be qualified to maintain, modify, and repair electrical power generating and control systems, automatic transfer switches, and associated equipment. Performs scheduled periodic maintenance on systems and components, and adjusts generator systems to maintain proper voltage, current frequency, and synchronization. Identifies, records, and repairs generator malfunctions by removing, repairing, and replacing defective power generating components. The designee shall maintain systems such as, but not limited to, Cummins generator series DGDK, DSGAB, DGBB, C15D6, C35D6, 125D6D, MEPP series 1050, 1070A, PP-3106A and Cummins InPower software.

The designee shall be qualified to work from blueprints, drawings, and operate a variety of electrician’s hand tools and testing instruments. Supports various generator systems as identified in supporting documentation.

High School diploma or GED. Formal training on power generating equipment and associated equipment such as military technical training school, vocational college, and/or a four (4) year apprenticeship program with experience in electrical power production maintenance and repair. Four (4) years of practical experience with equipment the technician will maintain. Six (6) months of Cummins Commercial, Advanced Mobile Medium Power Source (AMMPS) and InPower Software experience required.

Ability to obtain and maintain a US CENTCOM Medical Exam. Must have or be able to obtain/maintain a US Government Secret Security Clearance. US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

$80,000 - $100,000. The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good‑faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
