Boiler​/Plant Room Supervisor

Job Scope

A Boiler Plant Room Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance and safety of boiler systems and plant rooms within a facility. This role involves managing a team of technicians, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and optimizing the performance of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.

• Boiler and Plant Room Operations - Supervise operation and maintenance of boiler systems, plant rooms and related equipment to ensure optimal performance, energy efficiency and compliance with regulatory standards. Monitor system parameters, troubleshoot issues and implement corrective measures to prevent downtime and maintain reliability.
• Team Management - Lead a team of technicians, engineers or maintenance staff responsible for boiler operations, plant room maintenance and HVAC system repairs. Assign tasks, provide training and support professional development to ensure team members perform effectively and efficiently.
• Safety and Compliance - Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards and industry best practices. Conduct regular inspections, risk assessments and safety audits to identify hazards, implement safety measures and maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintenance Planning and Execution - Develop maintenance schedules, preventive maintenance programs and repair plans for boilers, heating systems and plant room equipment to minimize downtime and optimize system performance. Coordinate maintenance activities, inspections and repairs with internal teams, external contractors and vendors to ensure timely completion and quality workmanship.
• Energy Efficiency and Sustainability - Implement energy‑saving initiatives, efficiency improvements and sustainability practices in boiler operations, heating systems and plant room management to reduce energy consumption and environmental impact. Identify opportunities for system upgrades, retrofits or renewable energy solutions to enhance efficiency, lower operating costs and support sustainability goals.
• Documentation and Reporting - Maintain accurate records, logbooks and documentation of boiler operations and maintenance activities, equipment performance and regulatory compliance. Generate reports on system performance, maintenance trends, energy consumption and recommendations for operational improvements to support decision‑making and planning.
