Responsibilities

  • Prepare all EHS related documents, EHS plan, emergency response plan, RA, etc.
  • Attend all EHS meetings with client and project team.
  • Report all EHS related issues to HO.
  • Provide EHS induction training to new workers.
  • Conduct daily EHS inspections for assigned zone.
  • Ensure appropriate safe work permits are taken by Engineers, Supervisors from Clients and Main Contractors.
  • Conduct risk‑assessment throughout the site and inform Site Engineers and/or Clients Main Contractor of high‑risk areas.
  • Ensure toolbox talk is properly delivered by Engineers every week for workers to create EHS awareness.
  • Ensure all personnel are wearing personal protective equipment, including helmets, EHS shoes, and coveralls.
  • Ensure equipment such as ladders and scaffoldings are in good working condition prior to use by workers.
  • Ensure satisfactory health and hygiene conditions for workers, including the availability of water, rest area, and adequate lighting and ventilation.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping on the project site to prevent incidents and accidents.
  • Conduct Job EHS Analysis on high‑risk activities to minimize hazardous conditions.
  • Encourage workers and engineers to implement EHS practices.
  • Conduct investigations along with engineers in case of minor or major incidents or accidents.
  • Communicate investigation results to workers and engineers for future precautions.
  • Administer first‑aid and/or seek medical assistance in case of worker injury.
  • Maintain all documentation related to EHS activities.
  • Establish and coordinate an upgraded version of the integrated health, safety, and environment management system.
  • Confirm adherence to ISO‑, ISO, and ISO
    9001 standards for construction projects, and improvise procedure manuals and conduct internal audits based on these standards.
  • Conduct training programs on EHS topics for engineers and workers on site, as well as HR‑organized EHS training programs.
  • Perform hazard identification and risk assessment for critical activities and ensure method statements incorporate the findings.
  • Prepare EHS Plan and Environment Management Plan.
  • Coordinate external EHS audits and third‑party inspections of equipment.
  • Prepare Emergency Preparedness Plan and conduct emergency drills.
  • Facilitate implementation of the work permit system.
  • Coordinate occupational health and welfare measures.
  • Prepare conditions of contract on EHS for subcontractors.
  • Stop work if any unsafe practices are witnessed and promote a “don’t walk‑by” attitude and commitment to action at all times.
  • Carry out project risk management audits on a monthly basis and system audits quarterly.
  • Provide EHS reports to the project head and IC head to inform them of the current status of EHS performance.
