Overview
Apply for EHS Engineer at L&T Technology Services Ltd. in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This visa‑sponsored role offers opportunities for career growth and involves managing EHS programs for power transmission and distribution projects.
Responsibilities- Prepare all EHS related documents (EHS plan, emergency response plan, risk assessment, etc.).
- Attend all EHS meetings with client and project team.
- Report all EHS related issues to headquarters.
- Provide EHS induction training to new workers.
- Conduct daily EHS inspections for assigned zone.
- Ensure appropriate safe work permits are obtained by engineers/supervisors from clients/main contractors.
- Conduct risk assessment throughout the site and inform site engineers and/or clients/main contractors of high‑risk areas.
- Deliver toolbox talks weekly to create EHS awareness.
- Ensure all personnel wear personal protective equipment (helmet, safety shoes, coveralls).
- Ensure equipment such as ladders and scaffolds are in good working condition.
- Maintain satisfactory health and hygiene conditions, including availability of water, rest areas, and adequate lighting & ventilation.
- Ensure proper housekeeping on the project site to prevent incidents/accidents.
- Conduct Job EHS analysis on high‑risk activities to minimize hazardous conditions.
- Encourage workers and engineers to implement EHS practices.
- Conduct investigations with engineers in case of minor or major incidents/accidents, and communicate results.
- Administer first‑aid or seek medical assistance in case of worker injury.
- Maintain all documentation related to EHS activities.
- Establish, monitor and coordinate an upgraded integrated health, safety & environment management system in accordance with ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 9001.
- Conduct training programs on EHS topics for engineers & workers on site and prepare HR‑organized EHS training.
- Perform hazard identification and risk assessment for critical activities and ensure method statements incorporate findings.
- Prepare EHS Plan and Environment Management Plan.
- Coordinate external EHS audits and third‑party inspections of equipment.
- Prepare emergency preparedness plan and conduct emergency drills.
- Facilitate implementation of the work permit system.
- Coordinate occupational health & welfare measures.
- Prepare contract conditions on EHS for sub‑contractors.
- Stop work if unsafe practices are witnessed and promote a “don’t walk by” attitude.
- Carry out monthly risk‑management audits and quarterly system audits.
- Provide EHS reports to project head and IC head to inform them of current EHS performance.
- 5–10 years of experience in EHS.
- Minimum qualification:
Bachelor of Technology (BTech) or equivalent. - Knowledge of safety documentation, EH&S compliance, risk & crisis leadership, risk assessment, fire inspections, incident investigation.
- Experience with NEBOSH, NIOSH, OSHA instruction.
- Overseas experience.
- Audit management, ISO 45001 certified auditor, ISO 14001 (environment) IMS standard knowledge.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
