Essential Responsibilities
The designee shall be qualified to maintain, modify, and repair electrical power generating and control systems, automatic transfer switches, and associated equipment. Performs scheduled periodic maintenance on systems and components, and adjusts generator systems to maintain proper voltage, current frequency, and or synchronization. Identifies, records, and repairs generator malfunctions by removing, repairing, and or replacing defective power generating components. The designee shall maintain systems are such as, but not limited to Cummins generator series' DGDK, DSGAB, DGBB, C15D6, C35D6 125D6D, MEPP series 1050, 1070A, PP- 3106A and Cummins Inpower software.
This designee shall be qualified to work from blueprints, drawings, and operating a variety of electrician’s hand tools and testing instruments. Support various generator systems identified in Table 4.5.1 – C2 Systems and Associated Support Equipment;
Table 4.5.2 ATCALS Systems and Associated Support Equipment;
Table 4.5.3 ATC Weather Systems and Associated Support equipment;
Table 4.5.4 C2 Air Control Squadron O&M Support, Table 4.5.5 Regional Maintenance Center O&M and Support Equipment.
- High School diploma or GED. Formal training on power generating equipment and associated equipment such as: military technical training school, vocational college, and/or a four (4) year apprentice program with experience in electrical power production maintenance and repair.
- Four (4) years of practical experience with equipment the technician will maintain. Six (6) months of Cummins Commercial, Advanced Medium Mobile Power Source (AMMPS) and InPower Software experience required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US CENTCOM Medical Exam
- Must have or be able to obtain/maintain a US Government Secret Security Clearance.
NOTE:
US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
