Mechanical Gas Turbine Installation Engineer
Contract: 12+ Months
Rotation: Sunday – Thursday
Start Date: ASAP
About the OpportunityJanikin Energy is currently supporting the mobilisation of experienced Mechanical Gas Turbine Installation Engineers for a major Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCGT) project in Saudi Arabia.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a large-scale power generation project, supporting the mechanical installation, erection, mechanical completion, commissioning and start-up of heavy‑duty gas turbines.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and execute the mechanical installation of heavy‑duty gas turbines and associated auxiliary systems.
- Support turbine erection, mechanical assembly and installation activities.
- Carry out rotor, casing and bearing installation in accordance with OEM procedures.
- Perform shaft and laser alignment activities.
- Support piping installation, mechanical completion and system turnover.
- Assist with pre‑commissioning, commissioning and start‑up activities.
- Support First Fire and Reliability Run activities.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with project quality standards.
- Coordinate with construction, commissioning and OEM teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Prepare technical reports and installation documentation where required.
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience on major Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCGT) projects.
- Hands‑on experience with heavy‑duty gas turbine installation.
- Experience across:
- Mechanical Installation
- Mechanical Completion
- Start‑up
- First Fire
- Reliability Run
- Previous experience working with OEMs or major EPC contractors is highly desirable.
Experience with one or more of the following turbine models is highly advantageous:
- Other Siemens heavy‑duty gas turbines
- 12+ month contract.
