Job DescriptionParsons are looking for a highly experienced Design Manager to join their team!
Within the Planning & Design Management stream and reporting to the Director of Infrastructure Planning & Design, the Design Manager will manage & coordinate the delivery of multi-disciplinary design across assigned projects, packages or asset scopes in accordance with brief, standards, budgets and delivery programs.
What You’ll Be Doing- Support the Senior Management and Senior Design Manager in the day-to-day management, coordination, and assurance of design delivery across all project stages.
- Coordinate design consultants and technical teams to ensure compliant, integrated, and high-quality design outputs.
- Review and monitor design submissions for quality, completeness, coordination, and alignment with project requirements prior to approvals.
- Support the resolution of design clashes, technical queries, constructability issues, and cross-disciplinary coordination matters.
- Maintain design trackers, action logs, registers, approval workflows, and technical records to support effective governance and reporting.
- Apply standardized design management templates, tools, methodologies, and reporting procedures across assigned projects and monitor design progress against agreed milestones, schedules, and stage gate deliverables. Coordinate interfaces between disciplines, infrastructure systems, assets, consultants, stakeholders, and delivery teams to ensure integrated outcomes.
- Identify, track, and support mitigation of design-related risks, assumptions, constraints, and dependencies.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, consultants, support functions, and project teams to support timely reviews, approvals, and decision-making.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and consistent communication of design information across all stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related discipline.
- 10 years’ experience in design coordination or design management roles.
- Experience working with multi-di design consultants.
- Good understanding of design development stages and coordination requirements.
- Strong organizational, communication and stakeholder coordination skills
