We are seeking an experienced Generator Technician to operate, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot generators and Automatic Transfer Switches (ATSs). The ideal candidate will have practical experience conducting preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure the safe, reliable, and continuous operation of power‑generation equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate, inspect, and maintain diesel generators and associated systems.
- Install, test, and troubleshoot Automatic Transfer Switches.
- Perform scheduled preventive‑maintenance activities.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational faults.
- Carry out corrective maintenance and replace defective components.
- Test generators under load and verify their operational readiness.
- Monitor fuel, oil, coolant, batteries, filters, and other essential components.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and service interruptions.
- Maintain accurate inspection, maintenance, and repair records.
- Follow electrical, mechanical, health, and safety procedures.
- Technical diploma or vocational qualification in electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, or power‑generation technology.
- Practical experience operating and maintaining generators and ATS systems.
- Knowledge of electrical control panels, batteries, fuel systems, cooling systems, and engine components.
- Experience in preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and fault diagnosis.
- Ability to read technical diagrams, equipment manuals, and maintenance schedules.
- Strong troubleshooting, safety‑awareness, and problem‑solving skills.
