CBS is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Senior Civil Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading the design and analysis of civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and client specifications. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to create innovative and sustainable design solutions for infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and drainage systems.
Your expertise will extend from conceptual design through to project execution, and you will be instrumental in mentoring junior engineers and optimizing design processes. - Lead the design and planning of civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations
- Perform detailed analyses and calculations for various civil design elements, including earthworks, grading, and drainage
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including project specifications, design drawings, and reports
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project delivery and integration
- Participate in project meetings and present design concepts and updates to clients and stakeholders
- Mentor and guide junior engineers in design practices, project management, and professional development
- Stay informed about industry advancements and contribute to the continuous improvement of design methodologies
- Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in civil design engineering
- Proficient in civil engineering design software, such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Micro Station, or similar applications
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to civil engineering projects
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
- Professional Engineering license (PE) is preferred
