Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Electrical Testing Engineer (Substation Systems) to join our high-performance team focused on delivering advanced commissioning and testing services across industrial and infrastructure projects. This role is essential for ensuring the safe, efficient, and standards-compliant operation of LV Switchgear, Panels, and Protection Systems
.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed electrical testing and diagnostics on LV Switchgear and Control Panels.
- Conduct testing and verification of Current Transformers (CTs), Voltage Transformers (VTs), and Circuit Breakers (CBs) in line with project specifications and international standards.
- Utilize specialized test instruments to assess functionality, accuracy, and protection performance.
- Document all testing procedures, parameters, and results in formal reports.
- Coordinate with QA/QC, commissioning teams, and client representatives to resolve anomalies.
- Support test setup, safety assessments, and calibration procedures before live energization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in electrical testing.
- SEC (National Grid KSA) Approved Engineers will be prioritized.
- Proven experience in electrical testing and commissioning—especially LV systems.
- Proficiency in using the following equipment is mandatory:
- CT Analyzer (e.g., Omicron)
- CPC 100
- MOM 200 (for contact resistance testing)
- Strong understanding of electrical protection systems, schematics, and test procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced site environment with strict safety and quality compliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in testing roles for industrial, utility, or infrastructure projects in the GCC.
- Familiarity with IEC and IEEE standards for protection testing.
