Application Specialist Meat & Savory

Brenntag Saudi Arabia is looking for a Lab Application Specialist to be based in Riyadh.

• Develop new formulas for new applications and solutions and be part of respective trial series in lab.
• Strong practical knowledge in using functional ingredients such as flavors, emulsifiers, stabilizers, hydrocolloids, starches, fibers, colors etc.
• Strong application know‑how, ideally in several Meat & Savory segments of the food industry (another segment will be plus).
• Experience in the Meat & Savory Products Group, particularly in the application and processing of cheese.
• Identify and recommend locations for producing specific recipes.
• Review and align with clients on trial results together with sales representatives.
• Liaise with and share application knowledge with relevant sales teams.
• Develop internal or customer enquiries/projects by creating applications in the pilot plant, consulting with relevant personnel, and presenting them to customers alongside the relevant Account Manager or Technical Manager.
• Respond to customer demands using existing recipes or develop new products to assist in commercializing the products within the portfolio.
• Prepare products for large audiences for events such as customer days, innovation days, and trade shows; help market the product by providing technical explanations.
• Ensure that all projects within their segment are executed promptly and with the highest technical quality.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to apply best practices in the workplace using tools provided by the company, such as Innova, Mintel, and Euromonitor.

• Degree in Food Technology, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Chemistry, preferably from universities.
• Trackable experience in lab environment product development and formulation development is a must.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to maintain long‑lasting relationships with excellent communication skills.
