Position: Senior HVAC Engineer

Location: Saudi Arabia

The Senior HVAC Engineer is responsible for leading the design, execution, installation, testing, and commissioning of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems for industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects. The role involves managing technical teams, ensuring compliance with project specifications and international standards, and delivering high-quality HVAC solutions within agreed timelines and budgets.

• Lead the design, review, and approval of HVAC system layouts, calculations, and technical drawings.
• Plan, supervise, and monitor HVAC installation, testing, and commissioning activities on-site.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, Saudi building codes, ASHRAE, SMACNA, and international standards.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Review HVAC shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
• Conduct heat load calculations, duct sizing, pipe sizing, and equipment selection.
• Manage site teams, subcontractors, and technicians for efficient execution.
• Monitor project schedules, manpower deployment, and material utilization.
• Ensure quality control, safety compliance, and proper documentation.
• Identify technical issues, propose solutions, and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare progress reports, inspection reports, and commissioning documentation.
• Support project handover, as-built drawings, and operation & maintenance manuals.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 to 12 years of relevant experience in HVAC systems, preferably in Gulf countries.
• Proven experience in large-scale commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of Saudi building regulations and project standards is preferred.
• Valid driving license (KSA/GCC preferred – optional).

• Strong expertise in HVAC design, installation, and commissioning.
• Proficiency in heat load software and design tools (HAP, Carrier, Elite, etc.).
• Skilled in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and HVAC drafting standards.
• Excellent knowledge of chilled water systems, VRF/VRV, AHU, FCU, and ventilation systems.
• Strong leadership, team management, and coordination skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and work under pressure.
• Good problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication in English (Arabic is an advantage).
• Strong documentation, reporting, and presentation skills.
