AboutThe Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Manager / Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex consultancy projects across infrastructure, master planning and industrial city developments (advantage). The role combines strong design management, project leadership, and client-facing responsibilities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage projects from concept through to tender and/or construction stages.
- Manage and coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams (architecture, infrastructure, structural, MEP, landscape, transport, environment, sustainability).
- Act as the primary client interface, managing communications, expectations, and reporting.
- Establish and maintain project governance, reporting, risk management, and control frameworks.
- Develop and manage project programmes, resources, and deliverables.
- Oversee design quality, coordination, and compliance with client requirements and authority regulations.
- Manage risks, changes, and interfaces across disciplines and stakeholders.
- Support value engineering, cost control, and technical decision-making.
- Review and approve consultant outputs and ensure robust QA/QC processes.
- Contribute to business development, proposals, and tender submissions.
- Lead engagement with Saudi authorities on behalf of the client, including SEC, NWC, STC, Civil Defense, Municipality, Royal Commission, SAIS, Border Security.
- Manage all NOCs, permits, approvals, inspections, and access requirements.
- Lead contractor prequalification and technical evaluation processes.
- Support contract award recommendations and commercial negotiations.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Urban Planning, or related discipline.
- Master’s degree in Engineering or Project Management is an advantage.
- 10–15+ years of experience in design management and project management within a consultancy environment.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale infrastructure, industrial, master planning, or building projects.
- Fluent in English and Arabic (highly preferred).
- Contract management and claims management training will be an advantage.
- HSE and construction safety certifications will be an advantage.
- Strong leadership and coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- Programme and risk management.
- Technical understanding of multidisciplinary design.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent.
- Chartered Engineer / Chartered Planner / Architect (advantage).
- AutoCAD / Civil 3D.
- GIS (ArcGIS, QGIS).
- Planning & coordination tools (MS Project, Primavera P6).
- BIM coordination awareness (Revit, Navisworks – awareness level).
