Job Description

The Product Quality and Tolling Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting and maintaining product quality processes and toll blending operations across the region. As Specialist, the role will be actively involved in running product quality processes, conducting toll blender audits and managing product quality information in the ERP system related, but not limited to, product formulations and specifications.

Main tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Toll Blending Operation
  • Conducting toll blending audits, creating toll packages and monitoring performance of toll blenders in the region.
  • Resolving production incidents and customer complaints related to toll blenders.
  • Ensuring toll blending documents are up to date including, but not limited to, Technical toll package, Product and RM Specifications, Methodologies etc.
Product Quality
  • Managing material specification changes, non-spec changes and formula modification changes in close coordination with the Lead Chemist or the Regional Process Leader.
  • Conducting root‑cause analysis and providing advice and resolutions to customer complaints related to product quality of the manufactured products.
  • Providing advice and conducting investigation and root‑cause analysis for production incidents and batch adjustment in the manufacturing site.
  • upporting the New Raw Material Introduction (NRMI), New Product Introduction (NPI), Sub Alt and other Product Quality related processes as assigned by the Regional Process Leader.
  • Working on Product Quality related projects linked to DMP, sustainability, cost savings, lean manufacturing and high‑risk operation.
  • Managing the Product Quality documentations ensuring conformance to applicable management systems (for example, ISO, Framework 2.) etc).
Additional Responsibilities
  • Participating in the data management and entry in SAP, Filemaker and in LATIS linked to product quality transactions including product formulation, specifications and whenever applicable, code and material creation etc.
  • Attending Quality and HSE training.
  • Working in continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications Job specifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
  • Valid GCC driver’s license
Experience
  • Hands‑on experience on basic lab instruments: pH meter, hydrometer, auto‑titrator, UV‑Visible spectrophotometer.
  • Familiar with using any ERP system. SAP is preferred.
  • Advance knowledge of test result and data interpretation for the following tests: ICP, AAS, FT‑IR, UV‑Vis Spectrophotometer, pH meter, Specific Gravity, Base Number, Flash Point, NMR, GC.

  • Ensure to read the safety moments / Alerts / other information shared by the HSE Team.
  • Before visiting any site, factory, and/or warehouse, make sure to inform the safety team to get the right induction and prepare LMRA and the needed PPE.
  • Always maintain office safety such as keeping your files/papers in the correct place, keeping the drawers closed after use, arranging the electrical cables secured to avoid slips & trips, reporting any lost connections or damaged electrical components, and ensuring your office is clean and tidy
  • Report to HR/HSE if you are facing stress, fatigue, any form of harassment, or bullying at the workplace.
