HSE Team Leader

Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing the implementation of safety protocols, ensuring environmental compliance, and mitigating risks associated with electrical manufacturing processes to protect our employees, assets, and reputation.

• Develop and deliver specialized HSE training programs for staff and contractors, fostering a proactive "safety-first" culture that goes beyond simple compliance.
• Execute internal audits and coordinate external inspections to ensure the factory remains in strict accordance with international & local electrical safety regulations.
• Oversee the development and testing of emergency response plans, including fire safety and chemical spill protocols specific to the electrical sector.
• Monitor waste management systems and energy consumption, ensuring the factory meets environmental targets and reduces its carbon footprint.
• Maintain and report on HSE performance metrics (LTIs, TRIs, etc.) to the Plant Manager, identifying trends and recommending continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support in the identification of hazards specifically related to cable accessory production (e.g., high-voltage testing, chemical handling for insulation, and mechanical assembly) and implement robust control measures
• Report of any accident/incident, near miss, work hazard and violations
• Help in Conducting Risk Assessment to all hazardous activities and ensure that all control measures to reduce the risk are in place.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering:
  Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or Engineering (Electrical Engineering background is a significant plus).
• 3–5 years of experience in HSE within industrial projects
• NEBOSH IGC (Mandatory)
• IOSH and OSHA 30-hour certifications are a plus
• Strong knowledge of risk assessment and incident reporting
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Excellent command of English;
  Arabic is an advantage
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and analytical skills
