The Senior MEP Technical Inspection Engineer is responsible for conducting
independent technical inspections and compliance verification of Mechanical, Electrical,
Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Gas systems in construction projects.
The role ensures that all installations comply with the Saudi Building Code (SBC),
approved engineering drawings, project specifications, and applicable regulatory
requirements.
The position also contributes to quality assurance, risk mitigation, and technical
compliance throughout the construction lifecycle.
Duties- Conduct independent technical inspections of MEP systems across all construction phases.
- Verify that installations comply with approved IFC drawings, specifications, and ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations including Saudi Building Code (SBC), Civil Defense requirements, and SASO regulations.
- Perform systematic inspections to identify deviations, construction defects, or calculations, technical submittals, and method statements.
- Validate materials, equipment specifications, and manufacturer certifications.
- Conduct milestone inspections including pre‑installation, installation verification, pre‑commissioning, and final inspection.
- Issue inspection reports highlighting compliance status and technical observations.
- Record Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs), evaluate corrective actions, and verify closure.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders while maintaining.
- Support continuous improvement of inspection procedures and reporting systems.

- Gas piping networks and distribution systems
- Valves, regulators, and safety devices
- Gas system pressure testing and commissioning
- Verification of system testing procedures
- Functional performance testing
- Commissioning verification of MEP systems
- Client Communication:
Authorized to communicate with clients regarding project requirements, modifications, and compliance issues. - Report Issuance:
Authorized to prepare, review, and issue Design Review Reports (DRR) and qualifications & requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
- 7–10 years of experience in MEP inspection, supervision, or QA/QC within building construction projects.
- Previous experience in Saudi Arabia construction projects is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the Saudi Building Code (SBC) and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent technical reporting and documentation skills.
- Quality inspection or QA/QC certifications
- Commissioning certifications
- Fire protection or safety certifications
- Effective communication with clients.
- Requesting and following up on missing documents.
