Position: Deterministic Safety Analysis Expert |

Leverage your abilities and join the dynamic team of a Saudi Governmental entity.

They are looking for experienced Deterministic Safety Analysis Experts to provide technical expertise in the assessment of nuclear safety, with a focus on deterministic safety analysis.

The Deterministic Safety Analysis Expert'srole involves reviewing safety documentation, supporting licensing processes, and delivering on-the-job training to staff.

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Key Accountabilities
  • Conduct deterministic safety analysis of plant states, including anticipated operational occurrences and accidents.
  • Review and assess safety documentation, particularly chapters related to deterministic safety analysis.
  • Develop training materials and deliver on-the-job training programs for staff.
  • Support the development and implementation of nuclear safety regulatory frameworks in compliance with international standards.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

We are looking for:

  • Advanced degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in nuclear science/engineering within a nuclear safety context.
  • Familiarity with deterministic safety analysis methodologies and associated software verification and validation.
  • Knowledge of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) standards, including Specific Safety Requirements SSR-2/1 (Rev.
    1) for the Design of Nuclear Power Plants and Safety Guide SSG-2 (Rev.
    1) for Deterministic Safety Analysis.
  • Proven experience in reviewing safety analysis reports and regulatory frameworks.
  • Expertise in the licensing processes for nuclear power plants.
  • Experience working with countries starting nuclear power programs.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to handle complex technical projects.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
